Summary

Licensing Law Accredited Correspondence Education is offered to enable students to acquire the credits necessary to obtain a Type 1 license for teachers in special needs schools and to maintain and improve their qualifications.

* This course is for obtaining a Type 1 license. Please note that it cannot be used to obtain a Type 2 license.

 

Eligibility and Certification

[Main target]

1. This program targets those who already have a standard teaching license for elementary school, junior high school, high school, or kindergarten; who work at a special needs school (blind, deaf, special needs students, the same applies hereinafter); or who are in charge of a special needs class and want to obtain a special needs school teaching license.

2. It also targets those with an ordinary teaching license for elementary school, junior high school, high school, or kindergarten or who work at a kindergarten, elementary, junior high, or high school and wish to obtain a special needs education teaching license.

Special Considerations

Suppose you have worked as a special needs teacher for over 3 years. In that case, you can obtain a special needs Type 1 teaching license with beneficial conditions, such as a small number of credits andan exemption from teaching practice through special measures.
